Day 80 / Week 12 - Dealing with temptation (and envy)

Today was cardio, so I completed the required time of an hour and bladed around the city. I also did a little bit of circuit training in the mix by sprinting on long straightaways. Ended the evening with BBQ chicken breast and a salad. As usual (as with most meals), the wifey will pack on the evening calories by dousing her chicken with 3 different types of BBQ sauce, devouring a full plate of pasta and half bag of CHEESIES for 'dessert'. WTF? Why can't my metabolism be like that???? She's skinny as a whip and can eat all things guilt free and I'm here picking at my lettuce like a damn rabbit! I think I now know how I hit rock bottom weighing in at 193 pounds almost 3 months ago. I was eating the same garbage as her, but of course with my metabolism it would just 'naturally' turn into fat. As for her, all the food she eats just get's burned from the second it enters her system...Hmmm must be nice....So yes, as you probably guessed it I am very jealous of her. But there is nothing I can do about it, but to stay strong, continue to avoid these fatty foods and only have them in "moderation". I think it's pretty evident that if I were to eat a full large bag of cheesies every day like she does, I will be reaching ground zero again in no time. Since I have recently poured blood sweat and tears into this program, I have made a pledge to myself that I would not reach that stage ever again. Tomorrow is a new day and only 4 days left till I celebrate. =)

Day 62 / Week 9 - Rickards White Calorie Count - Excellent Wheat Beer

Had a really good time at a BBQ this evening, surprisingly the cook was pretty health conscious himself and just had chicken breast, with 2 types of salads.

For my reward meal, I drank a six pack of Rickards White (another great Canadian Beer, a wheatie cirtus taste, perfect for a hot day and brewed with a Belgian style to give that white Hoegaarden look). The calories in rickard's white are shown below as a harsh reality of what I'm drinking here.

To justify the 6 pack of beer, I am just celebrating 2 months of great success with my progress. I have been always optimistic to get this far, but to this date I am shocked from the results. Can't wait for next month - a 12 pack of beer. =)

Day 12/Week 2 - So what's in the fridge? Nada.....Dealing with meals and calories

For the life of me, I cannot get passed the recommended amount of meals and the right amount of calories. I am actually BELOW the amount of calorie intake(except for today - as I went to a bbq). Today I quickly reviewed over Module 5 (Nutritional guide), and found out where I was going wrong. My eating plan requires more food and good fats. Since I'm broke (as you probably already know), I no longer have any more food in the fridge and need to go to the grocery. I get paid today, but no time today to go grocery shopping. Since I'm now a little more educated on the type of foods I should be eating, along with a few recipes that I grabbed from the the RTP forum, I can now choose a little more wisely as I walk through the grocery store aisles. I'm noticing that each day that goes by when I don't plan out my meals, I'm just bound for failure. I'm trying though - but if I "fail to plan, then I plan to fail". So this is my next hurdle that I must get through, so I ensure that I keep within the guidelines of the RTP system. My planning will start with a food list.
