Workout Log 167 / Week 24 - Late Breakfast with Cora

In an effort to start good with my 3rd journey,  I woke up bright and early (7am) and completed my workout, as I worked hamstrings, chest and arms... Also did 15 min cardio to get the heart pumping. But after that, it all went down hill from there. I had my protien shake right after the workout and was suppose to eat breakfast right away, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I  had to leave home right away to run a few errands. By the time I had breakfast, it was already 2:30pm. And by that time I was so starving I didn't care what I ate, so I ordered a full breakfast special at Chez Cora's which included sausage, bacon, crepes and ate every single potato wedge doused with ketchup. After eating the huge breakfast I was so full till dinner, where I ate a healthy turkey sandwich before 8pm. So only 2 meals today which is not good....Well, at least I went to the gym though, right?

Cora's Breakfast Special : Excellent Breakfast(but IMO - expensive)

Good thing tomorrow is 45 min cardio, where I can really burn some calories off and get back on track.  Looking forward to it. =)

Workout Log 166 / Week 24 - Ribfest on the eve of Mission 3

No workout for today as I'm gearing up to start again tomorrow for Mission 3. But before I go into Mission 3, I just had to indulge in a couple of beers and a few ribs for dinner. Absolutely delicious.

Mmmm, I could still taste it.

So tomorrow I will start again with my commitments and get back on track. Tomorrow I have weight training and cardio. Looking forward to it.  =)

Workout log 165 / Week 24 - Hockey Night in Canada

Eventhough I'll be starting Mission 3 on Monday, today (without any effort) I kept pretty healthy and even got some serious cardio in the evening playing some ice hockey with a few buds.

It's been awhile since I been on the ice(since February this year), but felt good to hold the old hockey stick again. Even though we had 2 full lines and 2 subs, for the 1st time I didn't feel tired after the 1st minute. If I didn't have to share my time with the 2 subs on my team, I could have seriously skated for the full hour shinny. Boy does it feel good to be in shape! =)

Workout Log 164 / Week 24 - Time to Celebrate! =)

With no work or workout today, I started my day with lunch at Spring Rolls(Thai food), then headed up to the mall to pickup some new clothes. I didn't exactly use up the whole $500 for clothes shopping as I believe there will be more sales coming up next week (for the upcoming Christmas sales), so I'll hold off till then.

For dinner as promised to myself, I chowed down at the Manderin Chinese Buffet and filled 3 solid plates of food. Then washed it down with 2 beers. Ahhh...It feels soo good to reward myself for a job well done.

So this is what it's all about. It's hard work paying off.  For every goal there is a prize. And the prize itself is just as important as the 1st day you start.

Create a goal, get started and enjoy the prize. =)

Workout log 163 - Mission 2 Complete.

Wheew!! So it's been 163 days since I first decided to change my look and here I am today. In perspective, the journey was long, but the results have again proven that with hard work, a goal in mind, a  nutrition/workout plan, constant action and lots of patience can indeed payoff with dramatic results.

So today marks the end of my second mission. The second mission's goal was to :

  • increase my overall muscle (upper and lower body),
  • reach 9% fat
  • and to achieve 6 pack abs.
Looking at the stats in comparison to week 12(month 3) :
  • my body fat has decreased from 14% to 7%.
  • My upper body and lower body has indeed increased in lean muscle mass from 143lbs to 152lbs.
  • As for the 6 pack, well.....I'll leave that up to you decide. I like what I see thus far, but I personally feel I can do better though. :-)
Ground 0 - Pic

Week 12 Pic (3 Months later) - Results and Workout Plan Review

Week 23 Pic (current)

So as with every journey there is a prize for reaching a destination. Right? So, to celebrate the second mission, I've already polished off a 6 pack of  Steam Whistle(Toronto's finest beer), I'll be going out for dinner tomorrow at the Mandarin Chinese Buffet and before the feast, a $500 shopping spree to get new clothes(where I saved $50.00 /week for each successful week while on the second mission).

Speaking of which, I recently filled 2 garbage bags full of last years fall/winter clothes that no longer fit me. Goodwill will be more than happy to receive it and I'll be more than happy to get rid of it...No more large and medium sized clothes!! Coool.... =)

So looking back at the last month or so, nothing came easy. Everyday I worked hard to ensure that I succeed and you were all there to not only witness my struggles and successions but offered your time for encouragement through your comments and for that I appreciate.

I recall times where I had unfortunately missed scheduled workouts, ate unhealthy foods/drinks on non-reward days and missed much needed sleep. Sometimes, it just doesn't matter how much you try, your plan for the day refuses to go your way and failure kicks in. And it is at that time when you fall, you only have one choice : get back up where you left off, refocus on the goal/prize and continue with the journey.

So where do I go from here?

I now go on to Mission 3. (I know, it never stops, eh?)   :-)
In Mission 3 I fill focus on the following :
  • decrease fat percentage to 5% (no more than 5 though)
  • sustain muscle mass (upper and lower) as I don't want to look like a 'muscle mutt' (no offense to muscle mutts =) )
  • decrease waist line to 28.5
  • Show clear 6 pack abs and look more lean
As for the goal date, I believe that by January 1st, I can reach this goal.

So, the goal has been set and my next journey will begin this Monday. This weekend I have decided to go crazy and use this time to have a few beers, grab a bottle of whiskey and eat like a fiend. On Monday I'll start off fresh again with healthy living again. Wish me luck. ;-)

Workout Log 162 - The Hour with Special Guest, Al Gore

So today I had the opportunity to take time off work and go check out The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos. His special guest for the day was U.S Vice President Al Gore. Since I'm kind of a U.S politics junkie I found this interview absolutely entertaining.

Some subjects they talked about was the U.S economy,  Cap and Trade, dealing with Republicans, Glenn Beck (tears and him exploding) and how Al Gore finds Sarah Palin quite "interesting". I can really get into the politics of stuff, but for the record I am a huge supporter of Barack Obama and his policies(as with 80% of Canada who support him as well).

During a commercial break, I tried to take a picture with Al Gore on stage, but was politely advised that no pictures were allowed by one of 5 Secret Service Agents for Al Gore. To avoid getting jumped or worse yet shot, I put away my Blackberry/camera.

Overall it was great. It was a great experience to not only see Al Gore, but to be part of a live tv studio audience. Excellent day.

As for my commitments for the day, I polished off 80 min in the gym dealing with mostly upper body and cardio. Tomorrow is the moment of truth and celebration of my second mission and will be posting the final pic for Mission 2. Looking forward to tomorrow. =)

Tomorrow is weight training and 20 min cardio. 2 more days till celebration time. =)

Workout Log 160 / Week 23 - Planning the Celebration of Mission 2

Wheew!..Yet another good productive day. Kept on par with eating, sleeping, calorie intake and polished off yet another tiring workout.

For the workout, I worked on legs, triceps and back. Then followed by 20 min total cardio in between sets and 3 sets of ab exercises. I was very happy to leave the gym and get something to eat as I was seriously starving....Shortly after I ate, all I remember is crashing on the couch and not waking up till 1am in the morning to migrate to bed.

I think after this Thursday, I am gonna go into maintenance mode. I need a break damnit!! So, instead of working out 6 times a week, I'll cut it down to 4 times a week. But I'll confirm the new goal on Thursday as that will be my last day for mission 2.

But looking at things in perspective, my progress is still surreal to me. It's unbelievable that it was only 5 months ago when I chose to make this change. And I am here now standing 5 months later(only) getting ready to show off abs... Now that's pretty cool...

Well speaking of which, I have 3 days left till I celebrate and have decided of where I will go to celebrate. I shall be heading up to the Mandarin Chinese Buffet on Sunday to gain all the weight back in one single evening. =) On Friday or Saturday, I'll also be getting pissed drunk somewhere in an ally with a 6 pack of Toronto's finest "Steam Whistle".  I won't be drinking alone though, as I'll have the crackheads (that I throw quarters to everyday when I go home) to keep me warm and keep me company. Good times... =)

Tomorrow is 1 hour cardio...Looking forward to it as I just loaded up the itouch with some new shows - mainly The Kings of Queens episodes and a few Family Guy episodes....Should be good..

3 days left till celebration....Again, looking forward to it. =)

BTW : I'm just joking about cuddling with crackheads...It's not my thing.. ;-)

Workout Log 159 / Week 23 - Beware of Fatty Soup

For today's workout I completed 20 min cardio, upper body weight training and abs...All within about 80 min, pretty much non stop. Very tiring workout, but know it will payoff in the end.

As for my other commitments, the wifey made me a beef soup for dinner, but believe it had a lot of fat in it. I project it had approximately an extra 300 calories that I shouldn't have eaten - but i won't lie, it was damn good! =) I'm pretty positive that for the time and effort that I put in the workout(approx 1000+ calories burned) , the soup won't even dent me.

Tomorrow is back, triceps and legs. More cardio of course as well as abs....4 more days till I celebrate my second mission. =)

Workout Log 158 / Week 23 - Rest Day

Rest day for today. Kept on par with commitments and extremely happy to take a day off. This week thus far has been a killer! Cardio is now at least 20 min a session, more reps in weight training and less time in breaks between sets.

Speaking of which, tomorrow I have 20 min cardio and 4 sets of weight training working mostly upper body. It's gonna be a killer workout, but at least I know my hard work will be rewarded for each repetition that I do.

Five more days till I celebrate my second mission of achievment. Looking forward to Wednesday! Wooohoo! =)

Workout Log 157 / Week 23 - Whisky Sour

Completed weight training and cardio today that was scheduled for yesterday. Worked on legs along with 20 min of cardio. Very exhausting session and looking forward to my day off tomorrow.

As for my calorie intake today, I kept pretty good until later in the evening when I had a few shots of whisky with a few buds. With all the cardio I did today, I don't think the whisky is gonna dent me at all. =)

Five more days till mission 2 is completed.

Workout Log 156 / Week 23 - Completing less of a workout is better than no workout.

Since I had a few errands to run this evening, I ran in to some trouble with timing on my workout. I finally got home at 7:20pm and knowing that I wouldn't want to eat passed 8pm, I decided to switch my 20 min cardio for today(that was scheduled for tomorrow) and have scheduled my 1 hour workout tomorrow instead. No harm, no foul. Completing less of a workout is better than no workout, right?

So today I completed 20 min HIIT cardio and used both the elliptical and treadmill. Also did some warms ups using the chin-up bar, which I must say have improved over the past couple of months. Three months ago, I can only do maybe 5 chin-ups...Now I'm hitting 20 chin-ups 'easy'....Now that's good progress... :-)

So, tomorrow I have my hour session in the gym. I'm pretty pumped, but in the back of my mind I know it will be tiring as hell. But the benefits alone in the end will be worth the effort. 6 more days till my goal date to have 6 pack abs and a 6 pack of Steam Whistle(Toronto's Finest Beer).....Looking forward to it!  =)

Workout Log 155: Week 22 in Review - An Exhausting Week.

Another good 'tiring' week... Looking back at the week, I have quickly remembered how exhausted I was 2.5 months ago toiling through the 3rd and last part of the 90 day workout. This is mostly because of the increased cardio and mid to higher reps for the weight training exercises. Well worth it though, as I feel that the body is taking shape and only have 1 week left till I celebrate in completing my 2nd mission and oh ya, it will also be my birthday. =)

So comparing the stats from last week, I lost .2 inches around the waist and increased my weight by 2 pounds. Calculating my fat percentage, it has decreased from 8.87% to 8.17% and as for my lean body mass, I gained close to 3 pounds. Hmmm...Not bad... =)

From the pic this week I can clearly see a difference and really hope that by next week(goal deadline), the abs will show a bit more. We shall see....

In regards to my commitments for today. I completed weight training and 20 min total cardio. Very good session as I worked on biceps, chest, back and hamstrings. In between sets(of 4), I completed 5 min cardio. Now you know why I am exhausted. ;-)

Day 154 / Week 22 - Bored of cardio ? Try splitting it into 2 or 3 exercises.

Another successful day and another battle won for eating right, sleeping right and working out right. =)

So today, I completed a 5 min warm up doing 70 push-ups and 20 chin-ups all one time(with no breaks in between). To change it up and avoid boredom (even though I have the itouch), I broke up my cardio into 2 sections. I spent 25 minutes on the stationary bike and with the remaining 25 minutes I used the elliptical.

Since each of my shows on the itouch(this week is Family Guy) are approximately 25 minutes long, I would use the show time as my indicator of when to move to the next exercise machine. And by the time I knew it, a full 50 minututes has passed without even knowing it...I'll definitely do this again. =)

Tomorrow is weight training(mostly working on legs and shoulders) and 15 min total cardio. Hmmm, since my cardio is broken up into 3 sections, maybe I'll change it up like today? Ahhhh, I'll give it a shot. =)

Day 153 / Week 22 - Do not eat before working out. :

Completed weight training and cardio today. Worked on chest, biceps, hamstrings and triceps. All 4 exercises were compound exercises and therefore worked on other areas of the body. As for cardio, I challenged the treadmill again and dominated it with a fast jog (I guess that's be called running) for 15 min. total.

All this within 1 hour and as soon as I was done, I ate and totally passed out on the couch. Again, the workouts are getting quite tiring, where every muscle in my body is just killing me....

As for my eating, I only ate 3 times today and therefore my calorie intake was pretty low. Since I wasn't home, it was a little difficult to even pullover and grab a bite. And by the time I did have an opportunity to eat, it was about an hour before the gym.

Since the general rule says not to eat 1.5 hours before a workout. I rather starve myself for another hour than to waste my workout. But to ensure I don't 'pass out' during my workout I however did have a 1/2 of a protien shake(an hour before my workout) to at least get my blood and energy flowing.

Tomorrow is 50 min cardio. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to it. After today's tiring workout, I just wanna sleep! =)

Day 152 / Week 22 - Chillin' on a Sunday

Completed weight training and cardio today. For weight training I worked on legs, back, triceps and calves. As for the cardio, I used the treadmill and a did a jog. Since it was a Sunday(and usually just chill this day),  meals and sleep worked out very well.

Tomorrow is again weight training and cardio.  Should be good, but knowing with the extra cardio, it will be tiring as hell...

Day 151 / Week 22 - 2012 Movie Reviewed

It is predicted that on Dec 21st, 2012 the world as we know will come to an end. Hehehehe...Sorry, I don't buy it...Call me niave, but I rather feel optimistic that we all have bright futures ahead of us and will laugh about the projected date a decade from now. Very much how we all are still laughing off Y2K.

On the eve of  the year 2000, millions of people were convinced that our days were numbered and purchased 'extra' food and supplies that could pretty much feed a small army for a year.  Overall, many other predictions have been made in the past century and of coarse we are still here today. I remember partying pretty hard that night and from what I remember the next day, I woke up in the bathroom.  =) Good Times!

I bring this 2012 date up, because I finally got to see the much anticipated movie of the year : "2012". I really, really enjoyed this movie. I'm a huge fan of disaster movies and in my opinion 2012 has to be the best disaster movie I've ever seen. The only disaster movie that I think comes close to it, is maybe The Day After Tomorrow.

In 2012, John Cusack did yet another great job. He should get a few oscars for this movie as he never seems to disappoint me (some favorites : Better off Dead and 1408). The visuals and special graphics was well done making you really feel as if you are actually there. I could image how this movie would look in IMAX or if it was available in 3D. Ya 3D, that would be cool. Story line is just like any other disaster movie where the family members major concern is protecting their young and loves ones and of coarse to avoid getting killed from the onslaught of mother nature. So to give this movie a rating out of 10, I'll give it a 9 out of 10.

"2012" Movie Review : Verdict - 9 out of 10. Excellent visual effects, story line and great cast. Definitely will watch again.

As for my commitments today, I used today as my scheduled rest day. I had no time for any extra workouts or even to make up for Thursdays missed workout. My calorie intake sucked today as I had popcorn late at night while watching 2012, Oh well, it was a great movie though... =)

Tomorrow I have weight training and cardio. I have nothing planned for the day, so there shouldn't be any excuses for missing the workout. ;-)

Day 150 / Week 22 - Whole Wheat, Thin Crust Pizza = Healthier Choice

Completed 20 min HIIT cardio before heading to my buds place for some poker. During poker and a few puff sessions, munchies kicked in and ordered a pizza from Pizza Pizza. Instead of getting the regular pizza, we ordered a whole wheat, thin crust pizza to lessen the burden of eating something unhealthy.

This is just another example of living a healthier lifestyle through compromise by making healthier choices (even if it's pizza)... Tomorrow I have a rest day, but may still go to the gym (I'll try). Will have to see as I have a full scheduled day ahead of me. Hopefully I'll have time. =)

Day 149 / Week 21 - Dinner Show at Stage West

Unbelievably with careful planning and sacrifice, I was able to complete my 1 hour weight training/cardio session in the gym. Knowing that I had a dinner show to go to in the evening with the parents, I requested to leave work early (seeing that I worked a full day yesterday) and got it approved no problem.

So, I completed biceps, chest, triceps and hamstrings followed by 15 min total cardio. Looking back, I think I should of put in more cardio to balance out the extra food I was going to eat in the evening.

Speaking of which, in the evening my parents got me tickets to go see a dinner show at the Stage West Hotel. The tickets were a birthday present to me and also an excuse for all of us to go out since my aunt was in town from Trinidad. So they more or less were trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Only thing is, the show that they were playing was for an "older crowd". Ya I mean OLD! Like in the 70's..The name of the show was "Viagara Falls". I think the name itself says it all...

Anyhow, the show obviously was not my taste and since the actors were American, they will sometimes throw in some old southern American humor where we Canadians kinda shrugged off the humor. As an example, when they mentioned political terms such as "communist" and "socialism", one fifth of the crowd will be laughing. If I also recall, the last 10 min there was no comedy. No one was laughing and honestly quite painful....I understand that there may be American's in the crowd, but those political terms don't effect us Canadians. We like socialism(our health care).... =)

The layout of the stage and the hall where everyone eats was great. Ample seating area was very comfortable and the service was good. However, the food was not the best (most of the "hot" food was cold), but since it was a buffet, I still had the option to choose what I wanted. I think I took a taste of everything. I won't lie, my plate was filled, "mountain high". Not good when your trying to get a six pack... ;-)

To be fair with Stage West, I would rate the venue and show separately. I give the theater a 7.5, but gonna have to give the show "Viagara falls" a 3 out of 10. I seriously couldn't wait till it was done and is definitely geared for an American male/female that is over 70 years old...(yes twice my age). Yes, it was that bad....

Stage West Layout. - Quite impressive : no obstructed views
Verdict : 7.5 out of 10 (food could be better and not cold)

Viagara Falls Comedy Play. : For the 70+ American audience. Not for your young people like me. =)

  Verdict - 3 out of 10.

Day 148 / Week 21 in Review - Another Good Week

Whooaa... I lost 5 pounds this week. With the increase of cardio and higher weight training reps during the 3rd month of the RTP system, I'm definitely seeing a boost in the numbers. Even-though I lost pretty much 0.5 fat percentage and lost 4.5 pounds of lean muscle, the waistline went down a bit. I guess in order for me to see the abs, I need to sacrifice some muscle.

In preview of the week, I kept pretty good with my workouts(except for today) and my calorie intake could have been better. So yes, there were some times where I did fall off the wagon by taking in unnecessary carbs (white pasta), but overall for the week I did pretty good.

Today I was extremely busy with work as I worked from early am till midnight. So unfortunately, no time for workout, but will make the effort tomorrow. I have a full day ahead of me (dinner with parents in the evening) and will have to figure out how I'm gonna juggle all these tasks. We'll see.....

Day 148 / Week 21 - Planning ahead for my workout

Completed 50 min cardio today and included an extra 10 min for push-ups and chin-ups. For my cardio I spent 50 min on the elliptical as it was the only machine available, but would have much preferred the treadmill. Too bad only 2 out of the 5 treadmills work. =(

Also kept pretty healthy with my meals and consumption. Today (like most days), colleagues at work will offer candies, donuts, muffins and cookies for everyone to eat. As always, I politely decline but if they only knew how my mouth waters to just take a taste. =)

Tomorrow is weight training, but unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to get it done. I work from 7am to 11:30pm as I'm workin' double overtime(and double shift) for Canada's Remembrance Day (yup, I' be broke and I need da cash). I'll still try, but I'm pretty convinced that there's no possible way for me to go to the gym.

To make matters even worse, on Thursday I have the parents taking me out for dinner and a show(theater). I mean, it's great they're taking me out and all, but this is not gonna help with my 6 pack commitment. I haven't given up on Thursday as of yet, but will see if I can change around my scheduling to accommodate my workout. Maybe before dinner? Will I have time?  We'll see.....

Day 147 / Week 21 - Just a regular day (but progressive)

Completed abs, 15 min cardio and weight training today. Kept pretty healthy with my foods and ate every 3 hours. If I get more days like these, I'll be 6 packin' in no time. =)

Tomorrow is 50 min cardio. I unfortunately ran out of episodes to watch, so I'm gonna have to load up the itouch in advance to keep my company while I burn some calories.

Day 146 / Week 21 - White bread, white pasta and white sugar = the enemy

As previously scheduled, rest day for today. Had to work all day today, got home pretty late for dinner and unfortunately had to eat white pasta, stuffing and stew chicken.  Great meal, but I shouldn't be exactly having 2 reward meals in a row and eating at 9:30pm(especially if I plan in getting a 6 pack in 3 weeks time). Hopefully it won't set me back too much.

Tomorrow is full body weight training and 15 min cardio. I think I'll do 15 min more cardio to make up for today.

Day 145 / Week 21 - U.S Health Care Passes House!

What a historical day!! My friends and colleagues in the US are ecstatic that health care has passed in the U.S. Even after the constant stalling and idiocracy from the opposition (still more to come), Obama and his democratic team were able to get it passed through the house. This is historic! =) Good job Obama!

As a previous resident of the U.S (Florida), I too had to experience the hardships of not having health care. I was too young to really realize it, but my parents still to this day share their horrifying experiences of having limited/no health care coverage. This is also part of the reason why we now live in Canada, where health care is free for all with no preconditions and etc. As an example, I can literally walk into the doctors office and not pay a single dime as I described it one day when I had to go to the doctor's for a physical. Also, a movie from Micheal Moore called Sicko explains it all.

Again, congrat's to Obama and the the citizens of the US for finally getting health care passed within the house and now it's time for the senate to finish the job. Hope is near. It's been far too long that the insurance companies been taking advantage of you and it's a big win for the little guy. Wooohoo!!

Anyhow, back to my future 6 pack....Today I was very close to caving in by missing a workout when the wifey was trying to convince me not to go, so she can relax. Ya see if I go, she will feel compelled to go as well and she was feeling tired. Pretty selfish huh? =) Anyhow, keeping strong, I stuck to my guns and advised her that I will go with or without her. I also pitched out that we would have our reward meal today, so it should be more of an incentive to work hard in the workout and as a "reward" get paid with greasy food after. So I won (of coarse and as usual) :-).

So, for our scheduled workout we worked on chest, hamstrings, shoulders, biceps and 15 min total cardio. All completed within 1 hour. We even ordered our Chinese food from the gym (pretty awkward), where we later devoured shrimp fried rice, BBQ pork and fried wontons. Mmmmm...damn that was good...and well deserved.

Tomorrow is my day off from the gym and will be working overtime all day. So it's a good thing I planned my workout accordingly yesterday as I know I'll be dead tired by the time I come back home from work (10pm).

Day 144 / Week 21 - Puff, Puff, Pass = Munchies :-)

Completed 20 min HIIT cardio no problem after work, where I enjoyed a good episode of Family Guy on the itouch to keep me occupied. I was quite happy it was only 20 min long as I was really hungry and also looking forward to chillin with my buds right after.

Speaking of which, I had to cave in the evening as I had the serious munchies after "blazing" with my buds and as a result, had a few granola bars and nuts near midnight.  It's a good thing there were no Lay's chips around, as those would have been polished off in no time. You know how it is, hunger strikes when yer puffin' and passin'.. ;-)

But overall for the day I did pretty well...So going into tomorrow, I usually have my day off. But knowing that I will be working all day on Sunday, there is no freakin' way that I would want to go to gym after work at 9pm after working a 14 hour shift. Screw that...So, I'll workout tomorrow, get it over and done with and use my  free day pass on Sunday... =)

Day 143 / Week 21 - Time Well Spent.

So for today's workout, I completed 15 min cardio and worked on back, shoulders, chest, calves and abs. All in 1 hour's time and quite amazed I completed so much in that 1 hour. Good thing the gym wasn't too busy or I would have been in there for longer(thank goodness) and probably would have collapsed as I was so dead tired. Overall kept on par with everything else and looking forward to tomorrows quick 20 min HIIT cardio. Should be quick and easy. =)

Day 142 - Week 20 Review with Pic - "No more excuses - Only results."

Well by looking at my results this week, I see a slight difference from last week - but still not satisfied.  This was probably due to the 2 missed days from the gym. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances there was no way for me to make it. But hey, I gave it my best effort, right? ;-)

So on paper, I gained 1 pound, but decreased my fat percentage - now hitting 8%(wooohoo!). On paper, that's not bad, but I wanna see a 6 pack! I still have 3 weeks to go(Nov 26th) and really feel that I can pull this off.  My workouts have now changed (2 days ago) to include cardio in every workout and it's really tiring me out. I however can see that my hard work will payoff by that time. I just have to continue to eat properly and make sure that I stay on track with my scheduled workout days. No more missing workouts. If I can complete over 100 days without missing a single workout, I should be able to handle 3 measly weeks. No more excuses - only results.

Speaking of which, as for today's commitments, I stayed on par with my 50 min. cardio and burned some serious calories as I used the treadmill today for a change. I'm still not much of a fan of the treadmill, but felt like trying something different. Tomorrow is weight training (back, shoulders, chest and calves) with 15 min cardio. Looking forward to it. =)

Day 141 / Week 20 - Bored with Cardio? Try Something different.

Kept on par with my commitments today by eating well and completing 50 min of cardio. I did however change up my cardio routine, so instead of using the elliptical, I used the treadmill to jog and an incline speed walk. Eventhough I'm not much of a fan of jogging or the treadmill, it was good to try something different.

Speaking of which, tomorrow I have 15 min cardio included in the weight training and think I'll give the stationary bike a try. Who knows, I might just like it. =)

Day 140 / Week 20 - Enjoying the New Workout Schedule

Completed today's wight training today which consisted of working on the legs, back, triceps, abs and 15 min total cardio. All completed within 50 minutes. I'm optimistic to say that by using the new scheduled workout for this month, I'll be seeing abs in no time - as long as I don't miss any more workouts and don't eat any garbage.

Tomorrow is 40 min of cardio and hoping that I'll have time to complete it, as I have full schedule ahead of me the next day. I'll schedule it accordingly and hope nothing get's in my way.

Day 139 / Week 20 - Back on the Bandwagon. (after falling off)

Completed my workout in the am as promised! =) Today's new scheduled workout focused on arms, chest, hamstrings, cardio and abs. It was quite the workout, I was dead tired and had no interest in exceeding the workout to make up for yesterday's missed cardio. =)

I also kept on par with eating and exceeded my sleep by an extra 3 hours of sleep. It's also a good thing that the clock's "fell back" an hour. I could have only had 2 hours of extra sleep.  =)

Tomorrow is same type of routine, but focused on the legs. Since I'm not a big fan of leg workouts, I'm not looking forward to it... :-(
