Workout Log 170 / Week 24 - Pigtails and Rice

As a true Trini-Canadian that I am, I still love my food from back home. I was totally craving pigtail and rice and instead of using white rice, I used brown rice.














As for the pigtail, well of course it's fatty, but limited myself to 3 pieces only instead of 6 to 8 pieces that I usually have. I also took off as much fat as I can prior to boiling it. Kinda looks like what is shown below.







So my calorie intake was raised a bit today, but with the intense workout, I think I should be ok. If you have not tried this Trinidad dish before, it tastes a lot better than it sounds. It also tastes a lot better with white rice, but if it's during your workout days, use brown rice to ease up on the calorie intake. I know, I know...It's like getting a Diet Pepsi with a BigMac, but hey- lesser calories the better. Right? =)

Tomorrow is 20 min HIIT Cardio where I'll be spending that time on the treadmill running and jogging. Lookin' forward to it. ;-)
